Thanks again Bill for your hard work.

A question I have for you, though- which you may or may not be able to answer- is how does Coots look in his own end? Is doing well defensively? Have you seen any of the games to know?

Just curious.

Happy Saturday.

Have seen all of the games to date. Couturier is struggling a bit offensively (with the exception of the season opener) early on, but he's his usual solid self defensively. He did an excellent job against Burmistrov this weekend.

Fabulous. Honestly, I'm more concerned about his defense. His offensive game will come around for sure, but I'd much rather see him shut the hell out of 87 and 71 in the next 10 years and put up 75 points than put up 100 and not be as dominant on D.

Kid's something special, isn't he?

Thanks for the quick response Bill. Now get some sleep! Stop spoiling us!!

I still can't believe we picked him up at 8th overall. That's just sick.

It's not fair really.

I remember watching him progress in his last 2 seasons in Juniors.

It was the February before the draft, or something like that, and me and my buddy were looking at his stats. Kid was 18 and put up his 2nd 100 pt season in a row and was still counting. We were like "damn this kid is amazing....wouldn't it be amazing if....what the hell it ain't happenin."

Fast forward to me and my same friend at pick number 5, 6, and 7 screaming at the other GMs to pass on him.

Then Homer stepped up the the podium.

We were gonna kill someone if he didn't pick this kid.

Well....it happened....boy he fell right into our laps. People forget that he was one hell of an offensive star in Juniors as well. He is gonna be phenomenal.

Hey guys, I took Couturier in my keeper league and was wondering where he would fit into the Flyers line up once the NHL resumes.

I understand its far too early to accurately make that call, but your best guesses are good enough for now. My hope is that he finds a spot on the top two lines. I see a lot of potential in this kid....

Good analysis tool. But since we have G and Briere, he wont see any time on the second line until Briere is gone.

No switches to the wing with him at all?

Still, love his defensive game though that doesnt translate much into fantasy aside from his SH points. Look forward to watching his offensive game develop though, which it will IMO, over time.

My hope is that he gets some time on the wing, and if not, then a Briere injury to bump him up.

A switch to wing for Couturier is unlikely because of his two way game. Brayden Schenn is the most likely of the Flyers centers (Giroux, Briere, Couturier, Talbot & Ben Holmstrom being the others) to end up on a wing in a 2012-13 season

Schenn is now a winger. No doubt.

Briere could move to wing to accomodate Coots at center on e second line, but that would make very little sense.

It also still give the team flexibility should they need Schenn to slide over in case of any injury.

I think Briere can do well should he be required to play wing.

Even at 95, she still knew everyone on the team. Even with the revolving door of players.

My great grandmother is a no code. The prayers of fellow Flyers fans would have been something she cherished....

He can play wing, in the defensive zone. Shift him to center in the offensive zone. Try to hide his lack of defensive ability.
